Douglas Rumbaugh Lecturer of Computer Science
Teaching and Research Interests:
Douglas Rumbaugh’s teaching interests are targeted at introductory courses in computer science, mathematics, and the physical sciences. I’m a firm believer in developing a strong grasp of the fundamentals prior to moving into more targeted disciplines and try to bring this view with me into the classroom, irrespective of the topic which I am teaching.
Douglas Rumbaugh’s research interest primarily lies on the engineering side of things. His research focus in graduate school was aerodynamics, specifically low-Reynolds number fliers. He is also interested in classical numerical analysis and modeling.
