Students are challenged to think within the Scrum framework and the underlying values and principles to better understand what to do when returning to the workplace and facing complex decisions.

1. Have a clear understanding of the rules of Scrum through the empirical foundation of Scrum.
2. Students can act as a Scrum Master for Scrum Teams as well as stakeholders from an in-depth understanding of servant-leadership.
3. Effectively be able to start up Scrum or increase its effectiveness if already underway.

The Professional Scrum Master course is for anyone involved in software development using the Scrum framework. It is particularly beneficial for those people within an organization accountable for getting the most out of Scrum, including Scrum Masters, managers, and Scrum Team members.

There is no pre-requisite knowledge, skills, or experience.

The following materials are included in the cost of the course:

• PDF of the slides and exercises presented
• One attempt to take the PSM1 exam
• Light breakfast, lunch, and beverages

All print materials will be distributed the first day of class.

The following are not included in the cost of the course:

• Parking fees

All participants completing the Professional Scrum Master course will receive a password to attempt the PSM I assessment, and are also entitled to a discount on the PSM II and PSM III assessments. The industry-recognized PSM certifications require a minimum passing score on these rigorous assessments.

Harrisburg University reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses/events at its discretion. Should a program or event be cancelled by the University, a full refund will be issued.

• A refund of 100% will be issued within 7 business days of your registration date.
• A refund of 50% will be issued up until 8 days prior to the start of the course/event.
• No refunds will be issued for cancellations 7 or less days prior to the start of the course/event.
