About the Course

The Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered a preeminent credential for project managers worldwide. For job seekers, being a certified PMP means you either get past the human resources gatekeeper or you don’t. We understand how important this credential is to your professional career and stand ready to help you prepare for the exam.

Not only is Harrisburg University a Premier Authorized Training Partner (ATP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI™), but through our long partnership with the PMI™, our Project Management Master of Science program is accredited through the PMI™’s Global Accreditation Center (GAC). Both ATP and GAC status assure our students that we have been externally reviewed by the PMI™ to provide instructional and educational excellence.

As an ATP, we are able to provide PMI™-developed PMP exam preparation materials, updated for the new 2020 exam. Our instructors were evaluated by the PMI™ and had to pass PMI™ instructor training prior to being certified to deliver this course.

Course Benefits

PMP certification is the most important industry-recognized certification for project managers. Obtaining a PMP certification provides opportunities in many fields such as in finance, consulting, construction, Information Technology, biotech, telecommunications, manufacturing, healthcare and many other industries around the globe. The PMP also increases your earning potential. PMP certification holders earn 22 percent more than their non-certified peers according to Earning Power: Project Management Salary Survey, Eleventh Edition. Employers benefit as well. When more than one-third of their project managers are PMP-certified, organizations complete more of their projects on time, on budget, meeting original goals, and they all speak the same language. (Pulse of the Profession® study, PMI™, 2015.) The Pulse of the Profession study from 2020 shows that more than half of those surveyed require certification for their project professionals.

CAPM™ certification – Organizations with standardized practices attain better results and because the CAPM™ recognizes your knowledge of the profession’s preeminent global standard, you’ll stand out to employers and be poised to move ahead.
