HARRISBURG, PA – Harrisburg University of Science and Technology (HU) is pleased to announce an exciting addition to its business-centered Professional Development Information Technology (IT) Board of Advisors, and welcomes Lindsay Oparowski, Assistant Vice President of Digital Member Experience at Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union (PSECU).

Harrisburg University’s IT Board of Advisors was established in 2020 to guide the HU Professional Development team’s vision of empowering the “Workforce of the Future.” This board currently includes over a dozen prominent thought leaders from technology fields.

In announcing Oparowski’s addition to the IT Board of Advisors, Paul Roos, Associate Vice President of Workforce Development at Harrisburg University, said, “Lindsay’s perspective from a digital customer experience lens is a well-rounded skill that this advisor board welcomes. Advising HU’s Professional Development department with nearly 20 years of experience, her career with digital transformation and organizational culture will add value to our offerings moving forward.” Roos continued, “I would also be remiss not to thank Barb Bowker from PSECU for her years of service on this board prior to Lindsay joining in her new capacity.”

Each year, HU hosts nearly 50 professional development offerings for thousands of registrants. These include free online courses, free community forums, multi-month certificate courses, exam certification trainings, and summits featuring nationally acclaimed technology experts.

The board’s key functions include:

  • Assisting with curriculum development and content selection.
  • Identifying new leading-edge methods for learning.
  • Providing perspectives unique to the business community.
