Course description:
This second in a series of workshops introduces teachers to responsible, time-saving ways AI can support assessment design and feedback. Educators learn how to generate formative and summative assessments, including rubrics that align with instructional goals. Educators also explore how learning data and AI-assisted analysis can inform next steps in instruction (and design) while maintaining professional judgment and ethical practice.
Timeframe:
6 hours, 9:00 am – 4 pm (1 hour for lunch)
Learning outcomes:
Educators will be able to:
- Use AI tools to create or refine learning outcomes.
- Create or revise assessments and rubrics using AI to better align with standards, cognitive demand, learner needs, and learning outcomes.
- Evaluate assessment data using AI tools to revise learning activities and assessments that more closely align with learning outcomes.
(Note: Feedback beyond using rubrics is not included. Usually requires specific AI tools that protect student data, allow for anonymity, etc.)
