
Rand (William) Ford, Ph.D. Professor and Program Lead of Analytics
W. Randolph Ford earned his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, along with a master’s and bachelor’s, from Johns Hopkins University. He is currently a professor and Director of the Data Science Ph.D. Program at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. Prior to that, he was Director of the Analytics M.S. Program at Harrisburg, Director of Analytics at the University of Maryland Global Campus, and Chair of the Computer Science Department at Hood College, where he also served as President of their Faculty. In addition, throughout his career, he has held C-level positions at six different companies. He has been awarded five patents and is active in both academic and applied research. His areas of interest are the analysis of unstructured data, natural language processing, and other areas of artificial intelligence.
