Ellyn joins the HU team with over 25 years of experience in Human Resources and Operations working in the not-for-profit sector.

Most recently she spent the last 18 years with the YMCA of Northern Colorado, where she developed and honed her full-cycle HR skill-set including recruitment, benefits and compensation, training and staff development, regulatory compliance, employee relations and performance management, for a diverse employee base. Beyond serving as the Sr. VP of HR at the YMCA, she also assumed the roles of Executive Director of the flagship branch and later the Sr. VP of Operations, providing her an opportunity to gain greater budgetary and program development skills, as well as a greater understanding how HR can better support the business operations. Prior to her YMCA career, she worked as a counselor in both a residential and day treatment center for high-risk youth.

Ellyn earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Colorado State University and her Professional in Human Resources certificate through the Human Resources Certification Institute
