Chaza Abdul arrived in the US in 1992 as a native speaker of three languages, Romanian, Arabic, and French. As a law degree holder, she grew a passion for pursuing a business and academic career in the US. Therefore, she pursued a change in direction that includes business administration and information technology to fit the corporate world experience he started.
Chaza Abdul began her career as an entry-level healthcare manager until she became a corporate executive for two healthcare organizations, one was an urgent care facility with nine providers, and the other was a for-profit health care corporation based out of Tennessee adding to 16 years of the real world experience. Currently, Chaza Abdul is awaiting her Ph.D. degree in May 2019 in Computer Information Systems and Communication from Robert Morris University.
Chaza Abdul enjoys research and publications. She is married with two children and enjoys traveling, public speaking, reading and innovating, managing, playing piano, gardening, and writing.
Chaza Abdul sees teaching as involving a reciprocal relationship between professors and students. She believes that teachers have duties to their students and that students have duties to their teachers. She believes that it is my responsibility as a teacher to provide students with the following: an environment conducive to learning, a knowledge that will help them be successful in achieving their life goals, materials, opportunities, and feedback. This will help them learn, help in becoming and remaining motivated to be successful both in their studies and in applying their knowledge to solve problems in their lives.
Chaza Abdul research interest includes topics that are related to information technologies, communication, healthcare analytics and informatics, healthcare quality and performance improvement, system usability, and teaching pedagogies.
