What makes the HU ETCs unique?

| The project: | Experience project-based learning for yourself! Apply new ideas and techniques in a class project that you’ll put to use when you return to school in the fall. |
| The community: | We know you work hard during the school year—so we try to enrich your clinic experience by focusing on the little things that make a big difference—like friendly and helpful faculty, built-in time to connect with peers, breakfast and lunch included, and access to all University resources. |
| The topics: | Technology changes all the time! Stay ahead of the curve by learning about new concepts, tools and instructional approaches explored through our leading edge courses. |
Harrisburg University's educators' technology clinics are graduate courses in the Learning Technologies Master of Science degree program.
As a clinic student, you will earn graduate credits applicable to the master's degree and are eligible for ACT 48 credits.
The summer format was created to meet the needs of K-12 educators in a focused and applied learning environment. The collaborative nature of the clinics creates opportunities for you to expand your professional network and learn from other educators as you practice and experiment with new learning technologies and instructional strategies. Each clinic concludes with a "presentation day" in the fall where students present the results of their class projects that have been implemented in the classroom or school district. A "showcase event" in November is also an opportunity where students who choose to do so can display their projects to other clinic students, colleagues and administrators from the school district and members of the community. TThe 2012 "showcase event" is scheduled for Wednesday, November 10.
Students in the educators' technology clinics participate face-to-face in the classroom and also experience live and self-paced online activities that increase exposure to a variety of learning technologies. The classroom sessions are held at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology in Harrisburg, IU 12 in New Oxford, IU 13 in Lancaster, IU 24 in Downingtown or Southern Maryland Higher Education Center in California, MD.
Laptop Requirement
Students enrolled in an educators' technology clinic are required to have a laptop computer in order to complete specific course requirements. Visit the Harrisburg University Web site for more information about minimum network requiements, support and service and the acceptable use policy. If you will be using a work-supplied laptop, please make sure that you have appropriate administrative rights in order to access a wireless network, online resources and install programs necessary to participate in the class.
