Education Partnerships at Harrisburg University
Businesses and community leaders team with HU to prepare students for careers
Public and private partners with Harrisburg University provide the scholarships, internships, mentoring and other innovative collaborative efforts that fuel both our students’ success and our growth. Businesses large and small can offer invaluable opportunities for our students to put their theoretical knowledge into practice and to learn about the culture of business success. HU offers several programs that link local businesses with our students, including mentoring, internships, and corporate faculty positions. Additionally, we are happy to work with individual companies to find ways for them to partner with the University in ways that fit their own unique situation. If you wish to receive more information on ways to partner with the University, contact our Advancement Office at 717.901.5103.
Business mentoring — Impact a student’s life
We strive to match our full-time undergraduates with business professionals who will help the students understand more about their field of interest as well as about themselves. Our mentors come from Central Pennsylvania’s spectrum of businesses and professionals – healthcare, insurance, government, financial, technological and manufacturing. For information on becoming a mentor, call 717.901.5157 or email CONNECT@HarrisburgU.edu
Internships & Projects — Hands-on learning
The University’s curriculum requires undergraduate students to participate in internships. This is how they learn to apply their knowledge in practical ways while also gaining general business skills. Students are expected to complete a full semester internship as part of their graduation requirements. Many students go on to find employment at the same companies in which they interned. An internship is structured on the needs and capabilities of the host company. For information on hosting an internship, call 717.901.5157 or email CONNECT@HarrisburgU.edu.
Corporate Faculty — Share your business knowledge

Our corporate faculty play critical roles in educating students in the classroom. These men and women have expertise in a broad range of industries. They may be CEOs, senior managers, research scientists or clinicians. If interested in a position on our corporate faculty, please forward your C.V. or resume/biographical sketch to CONNECT@HarrisburgU.edu.
