Harrisburg University offers you a chance to earn college credit while still in high school through our College in High School--Dual Enrollment program. By participating in the Dual Enrollment program, you may earn high school and college credit simultaneously. Once you successfully complete your courses, you will earn conditional acceptance to Harrisburg University for admission to a degree program. The credits you earn and the grades you receive are recorded in your University transcript. If you choose not to attend Harrisburg University upon graduation from high school, the credits earned may transfer to another college or university. Earning college credits now may later save thousands on college tuition.
Additionally, Harrisburg University offers a hands-on lab course, Introduction to Lab Sciences I & II, for students in grades 10 through 12. It is ideal for home schoolers or high school students seeking opportunities to use sophisticated lab equipment. The course provides students with the opportunity to see the interconnectivity between various science disciplines and learn the importance of ‘the experiment.’ The course, divided in to 20 separate components, and is delivered over two semesters. The course covers organic & inorganic chemistry, bio-molecules and ecology. The two-credit course is believed to be the only one of its kind in the Commonwealth.
