The Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)
The American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) Certification Institute developed the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential to provide workplace learning and performance professionals with an industry recognized standard, representing a proficient level of knowledge and skill in the area of workplace learning.
- The CPLP designation distinguishes you from colleagues and other candidates by demonstrating that you possess an in-depth knowledge of, and expertise in, the diverse workplace learning and performance field.

CPLP on Campus
The CPLP on Campus certification preparation course explores a broad range of workplace learning and performance concepts to prepare you to take the CPLP certification exam. Using ASTD’s CPLP Learning System as a guide, the course will address the nine areas of expertise defined by the ASTD Competency Model:
- Designing learning
- Delivering training
- Improving human performance
- Measuring and evaluating learning
- Facilitating organizational change
- Managing the learning function
- Coaching
- Managing organizational knowledge
- Career planning and talent management
CPLP on Campus at Harrisburg University is an instructor-led course in which best-practice teaching and learning approaches will be used to create an engaging learning experience. We’ll combine hallmarks of the HU experience, including the integration of learning technologies, while giving attention to important test preparation methods that will support your efforts on the exam. Plus, our state-of-the-art Academic Center is a modern facility that will enhance your experience and provide an inviting place to study and meet with classmates.
Classes are conveniently located in downtown Harrisburg at 326 Market Street, and on-site parking is available.

The 24-hour CPLP on Campus course will be offered in a blended (online and face-to-face) format to accommodate busy professionals’ schedules. In-class meetings will be held at 326 Market Street, Harrisburg.

Cost and Registration
The course, including the course materials, costs $1065. A $50 registration discount is available for registrations paid before August 25.
