Information Technology Project Management
Specialized Graduate Certificates

Project management has developed into a core business competency that employers actively seek among new and rising professionals, particularly within information technology divisions. Reliable managers and technologists who ensure projects are completed on time and on budget, while building positive relations with stakeholders are increasingly in-demand. Sound business analysis is critical to a successful project, and almost all technology projects will require some level of integration with existing systems, as well as a sound development model. To provide business and IT professionals with the skills to plan, manage, and evaluate technology projects successfully, Harrisburg University has developed three, graduate-level tracks applicable to a variety of project types.

Within the University’s graduate program in IT Project Management, individuals can enroll in one of the following graduate certificates:

These certificates are for professionals looking for the opportunity to build skills and understanding in specialized areas within business analysis and project management that blend both technical and management skills. The certificates ensure that individuals have learned, practiced and applied the relevant project and management skills. The University’s focus on real-world applications for skills and knowledge building, for example, supports participants’ ability to practice what they may encounter in projects in which they are involved, and challenges them to think creatively and problem solve while still in class. Coursework completed for the certificates can be applied toward completion of a Master’s Degree. Some courses are eligible for Project Management Institute (PMI) professional development units.
